 Covid 19 Risk Assessment : Any member needing a copy please contact the club secretary.



This risk assessment is not a definitive assessment of all of the Covid transmission risks at the flying field. Individuals attending the field are responsible for complying with the law, BMFA guidance and undertaking their own risk assessment of attendance. However the risk assessment precautions detailed in the club risk assessment document should be complied with at all times, together with an additional precautions in line with relevant guidance. The use of face coverings is advised.





We are a well run and friendly model aircraft flying club, predominantly flying fixed wing aircraft. 


We fly off of a superb site accessed from Beech Farm Road in Warlingham, Surrey. 


We offer training for beginners by agreement with our Chief Instructor if vacancies are available. If you are interested in receiving training please contact us and we can advise of the current status.

Club Rules at a glance (these are in addition to our existing rules, which can also be read below):  


Max height 300ft above strip,


No models over 7kg dry weight allowed (or inc batteries for electric)


No multirotors / drones allowed other than normal helicopters.


Temporary ban on gas turbine fixed wing aircraft.

The club operates within the Article 16 exemption agreed by the BMFA. To see your legal requirements as a model flyer go to the BMFA website (see link below model flying and the law).


Please note it is the responsibility of members to make sure they fly legally by ensuring they comply with the new CAA registration requirements.


Members must also be members of the BMFA and comply with the club rules.

Members : Please be considerate to local residents. Ensure you always fly south of the extended line of the runway, reduce engine or airframe noise and be especially considerate after 6pm in reducing noise to respect our neighbours.

Please note that power field flying rules apply to electric planes  - whatever the size of the plane.
